The MIT THINK Scholars Program is an educational outreach initiative offered by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that promotes high school student-led innovation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. THINK accepts research project proposals from high school students across the US, providing mentorship and funding to a select few to make their ideas a reality. The program is led by a team of undergraduate students as part of MIT TechX, the largest technology club at the Institute.
Full-time high school students apply to the program by submitting a proposal for any novel science, technology, or engineering idea, and may receive up to $1,000 in funding to carry out their project. In addition, winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to MIT and weekly mentorship meetings with MIT student mentors. If you’re a high school student with a great STEM-related research idea, we encourage you to apply! Keep on reading to learn more.
