The Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant (MSEG)’s primary objective is to provide educational opportunities for high-achieving high school students who wish to pursue post-secondary education in the state of Mississippi. To be eligible, applicants must have been Mississippi residents for at least one year, have a high school GPA of at least 3.5, and score a minimum of 29 on the ACT/1350 on the SAT, or be named a National Merit Finalist or Semi-Finalist. Recipients of the grant may receive funding for up to 8 semesters (12 trimesters) or degree completion, whichever comes first. MESG awards up to $2,500 per academic year, but the awards may not exceed recipients’ tuition and required fee costs.
