Are you a minority, postsecondary interested in a career in government finance? If so, consider applying for the Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship! The scholarship is open to minority, upper-level undergraduates and graduate students who are pursuing a career in government finance. The scholarship is offered by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), a Chicago-based organization dedicated to “advancing excellence in public finance.” Since 1906, they have represented multitudes of finance officials throughout the U.S. and Canada. To support the finance officials of the future, this scholarship of theirs awards $10,000 to one minority, postsecondary student with dreams of a career in public finance. The scholarship is open to upper-level undergraduates and graduate students who plan to pursue a career in state/provincial or local government finance. Applicants must be minorities and must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
