Hyman Memorial Scholarship For Courses & Research at a Field Station! The Libbie H. Hyman Memorial Scholarship For Courses & Research at a Field Station is open to first/second-year graduate students and advanced undergraduate students who are looking to do research on invertebrates at marine, freshwater, or terrestrial field stations.
The scholarship is offered by The Society for Integrative & Comparative Biology, an organization that fosters research, education, public awareness, and understanding of living organisms from molecules and cells to ecology and evolution. This scholarship is in honor of Libbie H. Hyman, one of America’s foremost invertebrate zoologists and the author of A Laboratory Manual for Comparative Vertebrae Anatomy. To support the next generation of zoologists, this scholarship funds the first meaningful in-person field station experiences of chosen applicants.
