Offered by Green Chemistry Institute-American Chemical Society
The Joseph Breen Memorial Fellowship was established to sponsor the participation of a young international green chemistry scholar in a green chemistry technical meeting, conference, or training program. “Young” international scholars are defined as undergraduate students and above, but below the level of Assistant Professor and within the first seven years of a professional career. To apply, scholars must submit their and their faculty advisor’s names and contact information, academic information about themselves, and their career plans. Applicants must also submit information about the conference that they’re requesting funding to attend and an estimated budget for travel expenses. Bear in mind that selected Fellows must give an oral or poster presentation during the conference as well as submit a report to ACS GCI on their experience after the conference to receive reimbursement. If you’re a scholar looking to attend a green chemistry meeting or conference, we encourage you to apply!
