Are you a rising college sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in engineering, math, or a biological or physical science? If so, you might want to consider applying for the Heinlein Society scholarship! Each year, the scholarship awards $4,000 to four deserving students to help them pursue their STEM dreams. There are four types of scholarships available: the Virginia Heinlein Memorial Scholarship, the Robert A. Heinlein Scholarship, the Dr. Yoji Kondo Scholarship, and the Dr. Jerry Pournelle Scholarship. Bear in mind that while the Virginia Heinlein Memorial Scholarship is only open to female applicants, the rest are open to applicants of any gender. To apply, interested students must complete an application form and submit a 500-1,000 word essay. If you’re an undergraduate student passionate about your STEM major and are looking for some help to pay off college costs, we encourage you to apply!
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must plan on majoring in engineering, math, or a biological or physical science (and, if you are applying to the Victorian Heinlein Memorial Scholarship, identify as a woman), in addition to meeting the other eligibility requirements below.
