  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

Scholarship Overview

Are you a current undergraduate student attending a HACU (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities) member institution? Further, have you completed at least one semester of college? If so, you may be eligible for some of the many HACU Scholarship Program Scholarships! There are a variety of scholarships available, offering between $500 and $5,000 to winning applicants. The scholarships are offered by the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), an organization dedicated to “improving access to and the quality of post-secondary educational opportunities for Hispanic students.” To find out more about each scholarship’s specific requirements, we recommend checking out their individual sections on the HACU website.

Eligibility information

The TMCF Scholarships are open to students currently enrolled at HACUs who have completed at least one semester of college. However, bear in mind that each individual scholarship has unique eligibility requirements. Below are just some of the general eligibility requirements for the HACU scholarships. Some of the scholarships may allow non-Hispanic students to apply so long as they attend HACU institutions, but not all.
