Scholarship Overview

Are you a current or incoming college student majoring in STEM? If so, consider applying for the Gladys Carol Scholarship! The scholarship is open to current and incoming full-time students studying STEM at a U.S. university. The Gladys Carol Scholarship Program, Inc., a nonprofit charity organization, funds the scholarship. Since 2013, they have focused on providing financial assistance to students who pursue a STEM degree in the United States. The program honors Gladys Carol Best, the daughter of German immigrants who sacrificed a college education to raise her children. Her daughter established the Gladys Carol Scholarship as a way to pay forward her mom’s sacrifice. Every year, multiple students, if chosen, receive up to $2,500 to help pay for their education. If you are passionate about pursuing a STEM degree, we encourage you to apply!

The Gladys Carol Scholarship accepts applications from January 1st through March 31st of each year.

Eligibility information

The scholarship is open to students accepted to or enrolled in a full-time STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) program at an accredited, non-profit public or private four-year college or university in the United States. Applicants must also have a minimum SAT score of 1300 or a minimum ACT score of 28 in addition to meeting the eligibility requirements below.
