Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship
Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship
Offered by American Statisical Association
Are you a woman in statistics (or a related field)? Consider applying to the Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship! Established in 1989 by the American Statistical Association (ASA), the scholarship aims to encourage more women to enter statistically-oriented professions. Each year, the scholarship awards two lucky recipients $1,000 each (and a certificate!) to help pay off the costs of their graduate or advanced training in statistics and related fields. While one of the winners must be entering or in the early stages of a graduate degree (MS or Ph.D), the other must be further along in their training. Several other applicants are given an Honorable Mention each year and are awarded a certificate.
If you’re passionate about statistics and are looking for some help to pay off graduate schooling, we encourage you to apply!
