The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

Scholarship Overview

Are you a Native American, Native Hawaiian, or Alaska Native high school student? If so, you may be eligible for the College Horizons Summer Workshop! The program is open to Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian high school sophomores and juniors who plan to pursue higher education.

The program is offered by College Horizons, an organization that has served Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian students by assisting them in achieving their higher education goals since 1998. Thus, their Summer Workshop offers a “crash course” to help students with the college application process. The individualized program helps students select colleges suitable for them to apply to, get admitted to, and receive adequate financial aid from. Recipients can also learn about various colleges and establish personal relationships with college admission representatives through College Horizon’s partner institutions. If you are a Native American student pursuing a college education, we encourage you to apply!

Eligibility information

The program is open to high school sophomores or juniors who are enrolled members of a federally recognized or state-recognized American Indian tribe, Alaska Native group, or who are Native Hawaiian. Applicants must also have up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations in addition to meeting the eligibility requirements below.
