Cherokee Nation Higher Education Scholarships
Offered by Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma
Cherokee Nation Higher Education Scholarships offer financial assistance to students pursuing Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degrees. The program has three categories: Undergraduate, Graduate, and Stole Program. Applications for the Graduate and Undergraduate programs open on March 1 every year. To qualify for the Graduate Scholarship Program, students must maintain a good GPA, complete community service, and pass a minimum number of credit hours per semester. Online classes are eligible. New students require a letter of acceptance to graduate school. Recipients of the Undergraduate Scholarship Program must maintain a 2.0 GPA and complete community service.

They are the largest of three federally recognized Cherokee tribes and are based in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the capital of the Cherokee Nation. Their headquarters are located in the historic W.W. Keeler Tribal Complex, with sub-offices and service sites throughout Cherokee Nation's 14-county jurisdictional area.
