Scholarship Overview

The Bill Mason Memorial Scholarship Fund is open to students enrolled in and demonstrating past involvement and leadership in the fields of environmental education, outdoor education, or outdoor recreation. Applicants must also be Canadian citizens, be enrolled in Canadian undergraduate programs, have a B+ (75%) or higher academic standing, and have a background in paddling (canoe, kayak, or SUP), instruction, and/or leading. The scholarship was established to honor the legacy of the late Bill Mason, a renowned Canadian canoeist, environmentalist, filmmaker, photographer, artist, and public speaker. Thus, to apply, students must share their future plans and goals for continuing their involvement with environmental stewardship. If you’re eligible, apply for the chance to earn funding toward your post-secondary education!
