The AWS Foundation Welder Training Scholarship is for students seeking welder training in a certificate program less than two years in length through a trade school, community college, or other facility providing welder training. Applicants must also reside in an AWS District to be eligible. Each AWS District has up to 25 $1,000 scholarships to award each year, making this a great opportunity for students with a passion for welding. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply! Bear in mind that students enrolled in associate’s or bachelor’s degree programs are not eligible.
The American Welding Society (AWS) was founded in 1919, as a nonprofit organization with a global mission: Advancing the science, technology, and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering, and thermal spraying.
