Have you applied or been accepted to a full-time AACSB accounting Ph.D. or DBA program, hold CPA licensure, and have intent to teach and research at a U.S. accredited university upon graduation? If so, the AICPA Foundation Fellowship for Accounting Doctoral Students may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the Fellowship awards $15,000 to 23 AACSB accounting students who intend to teach and research at a university in the U.S. upon graduation. The fellowship may be renewed for up to three consecutive years from the initial award. Priority will be given to applicants of diverse ethnic backgrounds and underrepresented ethnic minorities in the accounting profession, but students of any ethnic background may apply.

The AICPA has supported accounting students for more than 130 years. One of the ways they do this is through their scholarship program, which offers educational funding for accounting students at all stages - from high school seniors about to enter college to CPAs pursuing their Ph.D. The AICPA Foundation awards more than $1 million in scholarships, grants and fellowships to hundreds of students each year, with recipients receiving on average $5,000 towards their education.

Applicants must (1) have CPA licensure, (2) have matriculated into an AACSB-accredited full-time accounting Ph.D. or DBA program, (3) have at least one year left in their program, (4) have intent to teach and research at a U.S. accredited university upon graduation, and (5) have either applied to a full-time AACSB accounting Ph.D. or DBA program or already been accepted to one.
