The Craig D. Butler Scholarship Foundation Award annually grants $1,000 to a college-bound, African-American high school senior who is from or will graduate from a high school in Pennsylvania or Camden County, New Jersey. The scholarship was established to honor the memory of Craig D. Butler and support deserving high school seniors. CDB Scholarships, the sponsor of the scholarship, aims to provide financial aid to African-Americans pursuing higher education, especially to those who've experienced gun violence. To be eligible, applicants must be African-American residents of Pennsylvania or attend a Pennsylvania high school. Applicants residing in or attending school in Camden County, New Jersey are also eligible. Applicants should also have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be entering a two or four-year college/university or accredited vocational-technical school as a full-time freshman.
