Boston University (also commonly referred to as BU) is a large research university located in Boston, MA. BU has over 30,000 students and offers bachelors degrees, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees across 17 different schools. Boston University scholarships include some really lucrative merit scholarship awards that range from $20,000 to full tuition. Merit scholarships are quite competitive at BU. Per the BU website, merit scholarship candidates usually fit the following criteria:
- Rank in the top 5% of their high school class
- Have SAT scores above 1500 and ACT scores above 33
- Have shown incredible extracurricular achievements in their schools and communities
