The There's Space For Everyone Scholarship is offering eight $3,000 scholarships to high school, college, or graduate students who will be enrolled in an accredited college or university for the upcoming Fall semester. Each application cycle, the scholarship awards between $1,000 and $2,500 to five applicants who submit an essay (~500 words) on why college is important to them. The Kassel Smit Make A Difference Scholarship was established in honor of Kassel Smit, a creative and inquisitive Cary High School student whose life was tragically cut short at age 16, in order to provide financial support to a soon-to-be Cary high school graduate who embodies Kassel's traits. Such traits include creativity, inquisition, sensitivity, generosity, a sense of humor, respect, and love. The $2,500 award can go toward any need listed under the recipients' post-secondary institution's total cost of attendance.
