The UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship annually awards 33 scholarships to current or incoming post-secondary students who have been diagnosed with epilepsy or are the immediate family member or caregiver to someone with epilepsy. While thirty recipients will earn up to $5,000 each, two "Epilepsy Leader" and one "Joe D'Souza" scholarship worth up to $10,000 each will also be distributed. Applicants must be U.S. residents and submit a one-page essay detailing why they should be selected for the scholarship and how it will benefit them.
