Wake Forest University Scholarships & Financial Aid

Wake Forest University, located in Winston-Salem, NC, offers students the best of both worlds–a small college that possesses the resources, opportunities, and school spirit of a much larger university. Undergraduate students can study one of 40 majors in the Wake Forest School of Business or in the Wake Forest College of liberal arts. Wake Forest scholarships include generous merit-based and need-based awards for students to apply for.

Merit-based Wake Forest University scholarships

Wake Forest University scholarships also include generous merit awards, some of which cover the full cost of tuition. Most of the Wake Forest merit scholarship do not require a separate application–students simply need to complete and submit their admissions application by December 1st.

A few of the notable Wake Forest scholarships include:

WFU Presidential Scholarships 

Presidential Scholarships for Distinguished Achievement which are for students who demonstrate outstanding talent in areas like art, dance, theater, and debate. Note that these scholarships do require an application and portfolio to highlight the student’s specific talent.

Nancy Susan Reynolds Scholarships

The Reynolds Scholarships are awarded to the top students and leaders who apply to Wake Forest. These scholarships include a full tuition, room, board, and a stipend for personal expenses. Students who are finalists for the Reynolds Scholarships are invited to Wake Forest’s campus for interviews are notified of their final status at the end of March.

Need-based WFU Financial Aid

Wake Forest is dedicated to meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need for all admitted students. In order to apply to apply for need-based financial aid, students must complete both the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (or FAFSA) and the CSS Profile.
