The Zeller Summer Scholarship in Medicinal Botany encourages U.S. undergraduate students to expand their knowledge of medicinal botany by pursuing summer study in various projects, courses, and/or internships with supervision and structure. Thus, it annually awards $3,000 to one (1) undergraduate student who is currently and actively enrolled in an accredited US college or university for study or work during the summer following the freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year. The scholarship was established by Caroline Brown, a member of the Monroe (Louisiana) Garden Study League, to support medicinal botany students.
