Offered by Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America
The William R Stanitz/AROY Scholarship was established in August of 1971 by the Constantin J Stanitz family of Chicago in memory of their son, William Robert Stanitz, who met a premature tragic death in California. To qualify for the scholarship, one must be an active member of their church community – partaking in services, showing themselves to be a leader and an example among peers in their parish’s young religious community; be a graduate of high school; be a college student or one who intends to enroll in a school or college of university level; and not be a previous Stanitz Scholarship recipient.
The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America recognizes the need for help in funding the education of their youth. Thus, scholarships are offered under the auspices of The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America through the generosity of the families and organizations whose names they bear.
