The William B. Howell Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year degree in a welding program at an accredited university. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, and be attending an academic institution in the United States. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Florida, Michigan, and Ohio. The American Welding Society (AWS) was founded in 1919, as a nonprofit organization with a global mission: Advancing the science, technology, and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying.
