The Gloria Barron Wilderness Society Scholarship is an opportunity for graduate students who have academic and/or career goals focused on making a significant positive difference in the long-term protection of wilderness in the United States. To be considered, applicants must be currently enrolled in a North American institution of higher education and submit a description of their proposed work and a timeline for the completion of a research paper within 24 months. Amongst the applicants, two (2) will be chosen to receive $25,000 to support their research and preparation of a paper on an aspect of wilderness.
