Further, are you a current or incoming post-secondary student with a permanent address in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Kern, Inyo, or Santa Barbara County, California? If so, the Victoria Mendoza Perez Memorial Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarship awards up to $1,000 to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who can provide proof of acceptance or enrollment at their institution of higher education. If you’re from an eligible California county and either have a bleeding disorder yourself or have an immediate family member with a bleeding disorder, we encourage you to apply! The Hemophilia Foundation of Southern California is the leading resource for those affected by bleeding disorders in Southern California. They focus on improving the quality of life and building community for those living with inherited bleeding disorders in Southern California. They serve 9 counties: Kern, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Inyo.

Applicants must have a bleeding disorder OR must have an immediate family member with a bleeding disorder (such as a sibling of, child of, or spouse of someone with a bleeding disorder).
In addition to the below application materials, interested students must submit a short bio and photo of themselves (for use in HFSC newsletter and website if awarded the scholarship).
