Are you a college-bound high school senior or graduate from Vermont who has a passion for golf and is enrolled in, or has been accepted as a full-time student at a post-secondary institution? If so, you may be eligible for the Vermont Golf Association Scholarship Fund! Each year, up to $1,000 each is awarded to up to 10 incoming college freshmen from Vermont who have a current and active affiliation with the game of golf such as competing on a golf team, working at a golf course, and/or participating in golf programs or events. The scholarship can be renewed for up to three years, giving each recipient a chance to earn up to $4,000 over the course of their college careers. The Vermont Golf Association Scholarship Fund was established in 1964 by George Smith, Floyd James, Ralph Eaton, Urban Wakefield, and William Chesley. They set out to assist deserving young students with a connection to the great game of golf obtain a college education.
