The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

* There are certain exceptions to this, for example if the sponsoring organization is a major corporation or nonprofit with its own scholarship application system.

Scholarship Overview

Are you a high school senior passionate about promoting vegetarianism (and/or veganism)? Consider applying for the Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship! Funded by an anonymous donor, the Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarships donates between $5,000 and $10,000 to three vegetarian students each year. If you actively promote vegetarianism and are looking for some help to pay off college debt, we encourage you to apply!

For clarification: a vegetarian is an individual who does not consume meat, fish or fowl. Vegans do not use or consume any animal products, including eggs and dairy products.

Eligibility information

This scholarship is open to all graduating U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities.

To apply for this scholarship, you must submit documentation/proof related to your promotion of vegetarianism in high school and/or your community, 3 letters of recommendation, and the below application materials.
