Are you an Indian-American high school senior who was either born (or has a parent who was born) in India? If so, consider applying for the Upakar Indian-American Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship awards either $8,000 towards four years at a university or $3,000 towards two years of community college plus two years at a four-year university. The scholarship is provided by Upakar: The Indo-American Community Foundation, an organization created to “serve academically outstanding Indian American students in need of extra financial resources to pursue their college dreams.”
If you fit those criteria and are planning on enrolling full-time in a community college or four-year university in the Fall of your scholarship application year, we encourage you to apply for the Upakar Indian-American Scholarship!

This scholarship is open to Indian-American students who were either born or have a parent who was born in India. Applicants must also be planning on enrolling full-time in a community college or four-year university in the Fall of their scholarship application year and meet the below eligibility requirements.
