The UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship annually awards 33 scholarships to current or incoming post-secondary students who have been diagnosed with epilepsy or are the immediate family member or caregiver to someone with epilepsy. While thirty recipients will earn up to $5,000 each, two “Epilepsy Leader” and one “Joe D’Souza” scholarship worth up to $10,000 each will also be distributed. Applicants must be U.S. residents and submit a one-page essay detailing why they should be selected for the scholarship and how it will benefit them.

This scholarship is open to students meeting the below eligibility criteria.
High School Seniors, College & Graduate Students
U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents
Applicants must have either (a) been diagnosed with epilepsy by a physician or (b) be the immediate family member (parent, spouse, child or sibling) and/or caregiver of a person with epilepsy.
In addition to the application materials below, applicants must submit a medical history form for the person living with epilepsy.
