Trig-Star Scholarship
Offered by American Congress on Surveying and Mapping
The Trig-Star Scholarship is awarded each year to a student pursuing a secondary education with the intent to pursue a degree in surveying and mapping, and with a desire to become a licensed professional. Applicants must be high school seniors, or college freshmen or sophomores, who have participated in the Trig-Star Contest at some point in their high school career, and who plan to enroll, or are already enrolled in a college degree program leading to a degree in surveying and mapping (the Land Surveying profession). The applicant does not have to have won at any level of the Trig-Star Contest but must have participated in the contest at the high school level. About American Congress on Surveying and Mapping
The American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) is a professional membership society for the spatial data information industry. American Congress on Surveying and Mapping's members include three primary organizations (NSPS, AAGS and GLIS), whose professionals include surveying and mapping professionals such as surveyors, cartographers, geodesists, and other spatial data information related professionals. ACSM and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) have proposed to merge.
