The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

Scholarship Overview

Are you a high school senior interested in majoring in history? If so, consider applying for the Lucinda Beneventi Findley History Scholarship! The scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who will be pursuing an undergraduate history degree. A non-profit organization called the Daughters of the American Revolution offers this scholarship and others to promote the study of American history. The organization is known for its lineage-based membership and history. The organization is dedicated to the “historical preservation, promotion of education, and encouragement of patriotic endeavor.” Every year, their Lucinda Beneventi Findley History Scholarship awards $2,000 scholarships to two lucky applicants to help fund their college or university tuition. If you are interested in pursuing a degree in history and are looking for some help with costs, we encourage you to apply!

The scholarship is open to high school seniors planning to enroll in college full-time and pursue a degree in history at an accredited college or university in the United States. Applicants must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
