The Joe Dieffenbacher Engineering Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a student interested in entering the engineering area of the corrugated industry. Applicants may either be working full-time or part-time in the corrugated industry and attending day/night school for a graduate or undergraduate degree OR full-time students in a two-year or a four-year college, university, or technical school. They should also demonstrate an extracurricular interest in the corrugated packaging industry related to maintenance or engineering. Thus, part-time employment and/or internships in the corrugated industry are looked upon in a very favorable manner.

TAPPI (Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry) are a not for profit, volunteer-led association that is built around a community comprised of thousands of member engineers, managers, scientists, academics, suppliers and others from around the world. They provide premier educational resources to support the day-to-day duties of industry professionals, as well as research and academic pursuits. They provide up to $140,000 each year in awards and scholarships.
