Are you an incoming college freshman who lives in and has graduated from a Nebraska high school (or GED) with plans to attend an in-state, public college? Further, do you demonstrate financial need? If so, you may be eligible for the Susan T. Buffett Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship is awarded to multiple such students who submit a completed application, one recommendation, a FAFSA submission summary, a high school transcript, as well as answers to three short-essay questions regarding the applicant, their previous academic experiences, and how receiving the scholarship would impact their life. The Susan T. Buffett Foundation has offered scholarships to college students in Nebraska for over 50 years. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to first-time freshman entering college who live in Nebraska, graduate from a Nebraska high school (or GED) with plans to attend a Nebraska public college, and demonstrate financial need. There are a limited number of scholarships, so the Foundation is unable to provide awards to all eligible candidates.
