This Student Research Grant in Early Childhood Language Development is intended to support studies that focus on children at the preschool or earliest school developmental level. Students must be master’s or doctoral (research or clinical) degree students enrolled in, or accepted for, graduate study in speech-language pathology or speech-language science at an academic program in the United States. Master’s degree candidates must be in a program accredited by, or in candidacy status from, the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Preference will be given to research addressing populations who are early verbal in their language production and use. If applicable to the type of study, proposals in this area of child language can be inclusive of children with hearing impairment. Please visit the scholarship’s website for more information.
