Are you a college-bound, graduating high school senior or graduate from Colorado or Montana who has survived childhood cancer? If so, you may be eligible for the Stephen T. Marchello Scholarship. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to incoming college students residing in Colorado or Montana who have bravely fought cancer as a child and won. To apply, interested students must submit a copy of their transcript, their SAT or ACT score, three references (one must be from the doctor who provided them cancer treatment), and the answers to two essay questions. The Stephen T. Marchello Scholarship Foundation's mission is to build a future for college bound childhood cancer survivors by reducing the financial burden for them and their families. The foundation vows to help these young people as they "have survived something that will have a lasting effect on them and their families for the rest of their life."
