The Children of Veterans Tuition Grant (CVTG) is open to undergraduate students who are Michigan residents and the children of Michigan veterans. To be eligible, such veterans must have been left disabled or deceased during their service, or have gone missing in action (MIA). Half-time students can earn up to $1,400, three-quarter-time students can earn up to $2,100, and full-time students can earn up to $2,800. Applicants must be the children of veterans who have been left disabled or deceased during their service, or have gone missing in action (MIA).

In addition to completing an application online, interested students must submit a birth certificate, their veteran guardian's discharge certificate or separation document (DD Form 214), and proof of their total and permanent disability or death due to service-incurred causes. If applicable, applicants should also submit the veteran's death certificate or casualty report. Applicants must also submit the below application materials.
