The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

Scholarship Overview

Are you a college-bound, high school junior who is a legal dependent of a State Farm employee or retiree? If so, consider applying for the State Farm Companies Foundation Scholarship Program! The scholarship is open to the children and legal dependents of State Farm associates (employees, agents, or retirees) entering college. The program is offered by State Farm, a property and casualty insurance provider in the U.S., and is conducted through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). The program recognizes and works to support the legal dependents of State Farm associates. Thus, each year, 100 legal dependents of State Farm employees/retirees are awarded $5,000 to help pay for their educations. Recipients earn this $5,000 per year for up to four years of college, or until they receive their bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first. If you are a child or legal dependent of a State Farm associate looking for a scholarship opportunity, we encourage you to apply!

The scholarship is open to prospective college students who are the children or legal dependents of a State Farm associate (employee, agent, or retiree), including step-children and foster children. Applicants must also meet the below eligibility requirements.

Application information

To apply for this scholarship, students must first request an entry form by emailing [email protected]. Applicants must then take the PSAT/NMSQT in the fall of their junior year of high school, in addition to submitting an application and the below application materials.
