Are you a high school senior or college student passionate about a career in senior care? If so, consider applying for the Senior Planning Social Work & Eldercare Award! The scholarship is open to prospective and current undergraduate students working towards a career in medical social work for the senior population. An Arizona-based organization called Senior Planning offers this scholarship opportunity. Senior Planning helps find reliable, trustworthy caregivers at no charge for seniors in need in the Phoenix area. They established this scholarship to support the next generation of social workers in carrying out their mission of helping America’s seniors. Between one and five recipients are chosen to receive around $900, twice a year. Fall semester applications are due July 31st and Spring semester applications are due December 15th, respectively. Eligibility information
The scholarship is open to students with less than 90 credit hours towards their degree in social work. Applicants must intend to work assisting the elderly upon graduation. Applicants must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
