Are you a veterinary school student interested in entering an essay contest? If so, consider applying for the SAVMA Economics Initiative Essay Contest! The contest is open to students who submit an essay about how to alleviate students’ financial stress. The program is offered by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), an American organization dedicated to advocating for the veterinary profession as well as veterinarians’ and their patients’ needs. They strive to improve the health and well-being of animals, humans, and our shared environment. Thus, this program serves to elevate the quality of veterinary care by providing educational accreditation and certification programs to current students. Every year, two recipients win $500 to help fund their educational costs for vet school. If you are passionate about your veterinary education and are looking for some help offsetting the costs, we encourage you to apply!
