Are you a current or incoming undergraduate with a love for literature, and for close reading in particular? Close reading is defined as “being able to interpret the underlying meanings of texts” by looking/analyzing beyond the surface. If so, consider applying for the RonranGlee Literary Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship awards $2,000 each to five college-bound high school seniors and/or current undergraduates who “make the most of their time through close reading.” To apply, interested students must “share a paragraph with [the scholarship committee] and write a short essay sharing [their] understanding of the underlying meaning.” If you’re currently or soon to be enrolled in an undergraduate program, and believe in the importance of close reading, we encourage you to apply! Keep on reading to learn more.
Bold.org is dedicated to fighting student debt by building alongside students and donors, moving quickly, and taking ownership as part of a global team.
