The Robert T. Kenney Scholarships are awarded primarily based on financial need, with consideration given to academic performance, community involvement, and other indications of a strong desire to achieve goals through education. Current high school seniors, college students, and nontraditional adult students who are currently or will be attending an accredited university are eligible to apply. Applicants must also reside in any of the 64 Connecticut towns served by the American Savings Foundation, demonstrate financial need, and be United States citizens or non-U.S. citizens who are able to apply for federal student aid, or students who have been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status.
