The Robert G. Porter Scholars Program is open to graduating high school seniors with at least one parent who is an AFT member in good standing, as well as current AFT members seeking help affording their continuing education. While four (4) $8,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors, ten (10) $1,000 scholarships will be given to AFT members currently enrolled in post-secondary programs. The scholarship must be used within six years of the date the award is made. If you’re a college-bound high school senior with a parent who is an AFT member, or an AFT member yourself, we encourage you to apply! The scholarship cycle runs from December 1st to March 31st of each year.
