Scholarship Review Process

The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

* There are certain exceptions to this, for example if the sponsoring organization is a major corporation or nonprofit with its own scholarship application system.

Scholarship Overview

Are you a college junior or senior from North Dakota who is currently pursuing a degree in education? Further, are you employed and work at least 10 hours a week? If so, consider applying for the Robert and Doris Alin Legacy Scholarships! Each year, the scholarship awards $2,500 to multiple aspiring educators/college upperclassmen from North Dakota who are working while pursuing their education. About North Dakota Dollars for Scholars

Dollars for Scholars is a national 501(c)3 organization dedicated to making post-secondary education more affordable by increasing scholarship opportunities. This includes technical programs and college degrees. The organization includes hundreds of local chapters in 30 states plus the District of Columbia, all of which award scholarships to their local students. In North Dakota, the state chapter "North Dakota Dollars for Scholars" secures donations for statewide scholarships, and is administered by the Bank of North Dakota (BND).
