Are you a family member of a fallen or permanently disabled roadway worker currently pursuing higher education? If so, you may be eligible for the Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship Program. The program is open to college students who are the children or spouses of roadway workers left killed or permanently disabled in roadway work zones. The American Traffic Safety Services (ATSS) Foundation proudly offers this opportunity to assist the road worker community and their families. Through this program, the ATSS looks to support the loved ones of passed roadway workers achieve their academic goals. Thus, recipients of the scholarship receive up to $10,000 to help cover tuition and other costs related to their degree programs. If you are related to a roadway worker left killed or permanently disabled while working, this may be a good opportunity for you.
The scholarship is open to the dependents and spouses of roadway workers left killed or permanently disabled in work zone construction or maintenance activities within the work zone. Applicants must also demonstrate financial assistance and meet the below eligibility requirements.
