The Redbird Academic Scholarship is automatically awarded to new, academically-talented domestic freshmen at Illinois State University. Freshmen who meet the criteria for the Redbird Academic Scholarship and apply for admission by Illinois State University’s priority deadline (November 1st for the Summer and Fall semesters) will be notified of their award by mid-November. The scholarship, awarding between $1,000 and $5,000 to eligible students per year, can be renewed for up to 3 years so long as students maintain a 2.75 GPA and continue to take at least 12 credit hours per semester.
