Scholarship Review Process

The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

* There are certain exceptions to this, for example if the sponsoring organization is a major corporation or nonprofit with its own scholarship application system.

Scholarship Overview

Are you a graduate student enrolled in a nursing program in hopes of becoming a nursing educator? If so, consider applying for the Promise of Nursing Faculty Fellowships! The fellowships are open to registered nurses enrolled in graduate-level, degree-granting colleges and universities in one of the “Promise of Nursing” regions. Applicants should also be committed to becoming nurse educators upon completion of their program.

The Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association (FNSNA) offers this and other opportunities to assist nursing students in completing their education. The FNSNA’s mission is to “support nursing education and promote the nursing profession.” Thus, every year, they award scholarships worth up to $7,500 to help multiple recipients afford tuition, academic fees, and books. If you are passionate about becoming a nurse educator, we encourage you to apply!

The fellowship is open to registered nurses enrolled in graduate-level, degree-granting programs in select regions of the US (see states below) and who demonstrate financial need. Applicants must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
