Do you believe in the importance of safe driving? If so, consider applying for the Project Yellow Light/Hunter Garner Scholarship! The scholarship competition asks students to submit an advertisement in either video, radio, or billboard form to promote safe driving. It’s open to high school juniors, seniors, and undergraduate students. Offered by Project Yellow Light, the scholarship was started as a way to honor the life of Hunter Garner, a 16-year-old who died in a car crash. His mother and Project Yellow Light founder, Julie Garner, seeks to warn people of the dangers of reckless driving and honor her son’s life. Each year, multiple winners are selected for each category, receiving between $2,000 and $8,000 depending on the type of advertisement they submit. If you’d like to spread the message about safe driving and are looking for some help with college expenses, we encourage you to apply!
This scholarship is open to high school upperclassmen between the ages of 14 and 20 and undergraduate students between the ages of 15 and 25. Applicants must also meet the below eligibility criteria.
