Are you a Greek-American postsecondary student who wants to pursue a career in journalism and communications? If so, consider applying for the Peter Agris Memorial Journalism Scholarships! The Peter Agris Memorial Journalism Scholarships are open to Greek-American college and graduate students in the U.S. pursuing degrees in journalism or communications who have been active in their schools, communities, and church organizations.
The scholarship is funded by the Alpha Omega Council, an organization dedicated to promoting Hellenism and supporting Greek Americans in the United States. They honor their late founder and publisher of The Hellenic Chronicle, Peter Agris, by presenting the Peter Agris Memorial Scholarship. To continue his journalistic legacy, the scholarship awards $5,000 to several Greek-American postsecondary students in the U.S. pursuing careers in journalism or communications, every year. If you’re passionate about journalism and are looking for some help to pay off your degree, we encourage you to apply!
