Are you a high school senior or a graduate of a high school in Albany County, Wyoming who plans on attending an out-of-state four-year university? If so, you may be eligible for the Path-Away Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship is awarded to high school seniors and graduates from Albany County, Wyoming who will be attending a four-year university outside the state of Wyoming. There are three types of awards given out, including the Honors award ($5,000/year), the Performance award ($3,320/year), and the Opportunity award ($2,210/year). Applicants’ eligibility for each award will be determined based on their high school curriculum, GPA, and ACT score. As a result, we recommend checking out the Hathaway Scholarship requirements to see which you may qualify for. To apply, interested students must submit two essays answering (1) what they would change about high school and (2) what social topic they wish to learn more about or take action on. Applicants must be (1) attending a high school in Albany County, Wyoming, (2) be planning to pursue a four-year degree outside the state of Wyoming, and (3) have received a minimum ACT score of 19.
