Are you a current or former foster youth between the ages of 14 and 25 in Oregon looking for a college scholarship opportunity? If so, consider applying for the Oregon Chafee Education and Training Grant! The grant is open to students aged 14 – 25 who have previously or are currently in foster care. Applicants can have been in foster care anywhere throughout the U.S. so long as they are currently residing in Oregon.
The Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion offers this scholarship to help former Oregon foster youth pursue their dreams. Since being established in 1959, OSAC has focused on assisting Oregonians in their pursuit of higher education and career training goals by providing information, mentoring, and financial aid. Every year, multiple recipients earn up to $5,000, determined by their financial needs. If you are an Oregon resident who is currently or were formerly in foster care and are looking for some help paying for your degree, we encourage you to apply!

Eligibility information
The scholarship is open to Oregon students who are currently in foster care, have been in foster care for at least six months after their 13th birthday, or are former foster youth who were adopted or entered into guardianship. Applicants must also be between the ages of 14 and 25 and meet the below eligibility requirements.
