The Olympia Brown and Max Kapp Award annually awards $2,500 to a student enrolled in a Masters of Divinity degree program leading to fellowship as a Unitarian Universalist (UU) minister. To be eligible, applicants must also meet the requirements for general financial aid and, as part of their general financial application, submit a paper, sermon, or other special project on some aspect of Universalism. Applicants for financial aid are automatically considered for scholarships and no additional material is required, except where noted. In addition, priority is given to those grantees who have demonstrated outstanding ministerial ability secondarily to students with the greatest financial need, especially people of color.
